Garner Optimist Club

Starting in 2023 the Garner Optimist Club became the new home for the community and youth-focused Garner Christmas Parade.

The Garner Optimist Club has been supporting youth in Garner for over 50 years.

In partnership with the Town of Garner, we are excited to bring the holiday season to life!

Community First

After a COVID hiatus, the Garner Christmas Parade returned in 2021 and 2022 though a citizen-led community committee.

Our goal is to create and host a festive and family-friendly Christmas Parade that reflects Garner’s values and one that is local, inclusive, and bridges Garner’s past with Garner’s future.

The holiday season is about love, kindness, and giving. It is families and our community coming together to celebrate our town and making great memories for our kids and all of us that are kids at heart.

Christmas Parade Plus+

Christmas is a Christian holiday and one of the fundamental tenants of Christianity is loving thy neighbor and being Christlike. So while it is a Christmas parade, we welcome participation by others who may share different December holiday traditions and uphold our community values of unity, respect, and love.
